A Tribute to Joe Vizzone

in Blog, News

It is with incredible sadness that we share the passing of Partner Joe Vizzone, our founding father, who established Vizzone Ruggero with his sister Lisa approximately 40 years ago.

He was a beloved leader of our family, and a beloved boss to our staff, both present and past and established the culture of the firm that we are proud of. Not only this but Joe was an excellent lawyer in itself, and was deeply committed to achieving the best outcome for his clients.

Joe will also be well remembered in the South Sydney and Eastern Suburbs communities for his dedication to community work. He sat on the boards of the South Sydney Juniors and the Botany Enterprise Council. He was also a life member of Mascot Junior Rugby League Football Club for over 20 years dedication and service as a volunteer and administrator.

Please find below the details of the funeral which is this Friday. There is a private service due to COVID, but there will be a broadcast both live to the Juniors and a link which can be shared and viewed elsewhere to those that can’t join.

The funeral will be held on Friday 6th November, 12pm at Eastern Suburbs Memorial Park South Chapel however, this will be invitation only. Due to capacity restrictions, the service will be live streamed in the Juniors Kingsford auditorium (level 2). The room will be open from 11:30am with the service commencing at 12pm.

In the meantime, it will be business as usual at VRT Lawyers. We are very fortunate that son John Vizzone, daughter Sandra Vizzone, niece Daniella Ruggero, and of course his sister Lisa Salerno, will continue the legacy that Joe began with Lisa all those years before.

We have of course added to the team with Fiona Campbell, Tracey Hayman, Isabelle Worrad and Brooke Azar being excellent lawyers on the VRT Lawyers team.

If you have any queries about your matter, please do not hesitate to contact us on 02 9667 1271 or email law@vrtlawyers.com.au otherwise we look forward to you joining us in remembering the legacy of Joe Vizzone this Friday.
