Joe Vizzone Awarded Life Membership of Souths Juniors
On 24 November 2014 at the South Sydney Junior Rugby League Limited Annual General Meeting, Vizzone Ruggero Twigg Lawyers Partner Joe Vizzone was bestowed the honour of life membership of the club.
Life membership is only awarded to a select few who have contributed to the successful club over a long period of time.
Joe’s lifetime of work with the famous club begun when he was selected in the South Sydney Juniors SG Ball team in the 1970s.
He told the meeting that after using the club’s gym and pool, the team were treated to the famous Juniors hospitality that included curried prawns and thought “how good is this place”.
Forty years later he is still an active part of the Club as a Director and a huge supporter and contributor to the Junior League.
Joe is proud of the role that the club plays in the community. On top of paying for and managing one of the largest and best junior rugby league nurseries in the country, and contributing millions of dollars each year to charity, the club is one of the largest employers of young casual staff in the Eastern Suburbs and Sydney. He remarked:
The club has provided the opportunity for many young people to work and pay their way through tertiary and university studies and that is something we are proud of
A recent highlight for the club was the recent premiership of the South Sydney Rabbitohs which featured a number of local juniors such as John Sutton, Dylan Walker, Jason Clark, Alex Johnston, Nathan Merritt and Beau Champion.
Joe is now a life member of South Sydney Junior Rugby League Club and the Mascot Junior Rugby League Football Club.
Vizzone Ruggero Twigg Lawyers congratulates Joe Vizzone on his award of life membership.
