Ella Gould

Ella Gould is a Senior Associate having been admitted in the New South Wales Supreme Court as a Solicitor in 2009. Ella brings over a decade of broad legal experience to her clients. Ella began her career as a defendant lawyer, working in some of Australia’s largest insurance law firms. where she developed strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of litigation and risk.

In 2014, motivated by a commitment to helping individuals navigate challenging times, Ella moved into general practice, where she has worked in family law, wills and estates, property law, and criminal law.

Ella is known for her empathetic and client-focused approach. She combines practical advice with strong technical drafting skills, preparing precise and effective court applications, financial agreements, deeds and wills. She is dedicated to achieving practical, well-considered outcomes while ensuring her clients feel heard, supported, and understood.

Ella has appeared as advocate in matters across the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, Supreme Court of New South Wales, the Local Court of New South Wales and and the New South Wales Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT). Whilst practicing in South Australia between 2012 and 2019 Ella also appeared as advocate in matters across the Supreme Court of South Australia, the Local Court of South Australia and the South Australia Civil and Administrative Tribunal (SACAT).

Ella joined VRT in December 2025 working primarily with the Wills and Estates team based in our Gladesville office.  Ella has a particular interest in Wills and Estates, contested Estate litigation, Elder Law and Succession Law.
